Quality Crystal Glass
After years of intensive research and development, in collaboration with the University
of Erlangen in Germany, Schott Zwiesel has succeeded in creating a new type of
crystal glass — Tritan® Crystal. Tritan® is a unique, patented crystal glass that is superior in appearance, durability, and design. By eliminating lead content and replacing it with Titanium and Zirconium, an incredibly pure, hard and clear crystal glass has been created. A crystal glass that is highly resilient to dishwashers, breakage and chipping.
Designed with Better Taste in Mind
Although each Tritan® Crystal Glass is created with aesthetic beauty in mind, it is also designed with purpose. The shape of each wine glass is designed to enhance the aroma and flavor components of an individual wine type. Each glass provides total balance with proportionally engineered height, width, weight, and capacity.
The pour capacity is measured at the bowl's widest point, and the laser-cut rim of each glass creates a smooth path for wine to travel into the palate. When the stemware is tipped back, the straight rim directs wine to spill at the appropriate section of the palate where a high concentration of taste buds can catch and savor the flavor of the wine. The inside of each Champagne flute is laser etched with 6 effervescence points for a continuous stream of bubbles, even when all bubbles have dissipated.
Durability
With reinforcement at the rim and both ends of the stem (where it meets the foot and the bowl), these dishwasher safe glasses resist chipping, scratching and breakage.
